MS, Special Education Generalist 7-12
Greeting parents, My name is Alexa Anzalone and I am currently a teacher at a high school in Chelsea. I have a degree in Special Education 7-12, however I also have taught a number of General Education classes during my 8 years of teaching. In conjunction with teaching, I have taken part in many after school tutoring programs that supported students in literacy, writing and regents preparation for a number of courses. Teaching has been one of the most demanding, yet most rewarding aspects of my life. A key skill that many Special Education teachers adopt is truly understanding a student from their academic and behavioral abilities, while meeting their preferred learning styles and interests outside the classroom. When combining all of these aspects there is a way to motivate students to access the content and truly connect to what they are learning. I look forward to working with your child to further their understanding of the curriculums and to teach them how to enjoy the process of being a student and improve current and future academic success.
