Hi, everyone!   My name is Alexandra Mazza, and I am so excited that you are interested in having me tutor your child! I graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 2018 with a degree in English and Adolescent Education.  Shortly after I graduated from SUNY Oneonta, I obtained my Grades 5-6 English Language Arts Extension through SUNY Stony Brook's non-matriculated program. This extension allowed me to take on a leave replacement position teaching fifth grade ELA at a school in Westchester, NY.  From here, I obtained my current job as a ninth and eleventh-grade English teacher at a different school in Westchester, NY.  I absolutely LOVE teaching and wake up feeling lucky to go to work every morning.   As for my personal life, I currently live in Manhattan (the 50-minute reverse commute to work in Westchester is totally worth it!)  When I’m not teaching, I am doing my best to live a happy, wholesome life.  I do this by working out regularly, exploring nature, going for long walks, cooking healthy, nutrient-dense meals, reading, journaling, and laughing with friends.  I am also working on obtaining my Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology. The program I am enrolled in provides an unbelievable opportunity for me to couple my passion for creating curriculum with my love for classroom technology.
