Hi! My name is Alisa, and I have 20+ years of highly successful experience as an educator. I have been a private teacher/tutor since 2016. I have taught and tutored every level of Mathematics K - 12 as well as Reading, Writing, various Sciences, and Test Prep. My goal as a tutor is to help students fill in the gaps and gain confidence. I genuinely enjoy helping students overcome their learning challenges and guiding them to be their best. To ensure my students succeed, I use various explanations, modeling visuals, interactive activities, and questioning techniques so that they truly grasp the material presented each time we meet. I taught and served as the department chairperson at several schools, including an International school in which over 80 countries were represented. I pride myself on consistently and expertly delivering each lesson by implementing best practices, differentiated instruction, special accommodations, and multiple assessments. Throughout the years, I have been recognized by Educational Leaders, Colleagues, Parents, and Students as a master in my field and a compassionate teacher whose expertise and most remarkable talent is helping all students see the value in education and guiding them to achieve their highest level, often beyond all previous expectations. I'm a fan of almost every sport and love nature and anything near the beach. In my free time, I love reading inspiring books, traveling to new places, and cooking amazing food.
