Bio
My name is Alison Socolow! I received my Bachelors Degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education at Syracuse University. After receiving my Bachelors Degree, I earned a merit scholarship to the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania, where I received my Masters Degree in Reading/Writing/Literacy. My work for my Master's Portfolio was awarded by the University, and has been used as a model for current students in the Reading/Writing/Literacy Masters program. My educational background led me to teach special education in the DOE., where I have been teaching since 2018. I I have taught 1st grade ICT, 1st grade general ed., and 2nd grade special education/ICT for students with Autism (NEST). These experiences have led me to supporting students who have a variety of cognitive needs and abilities.
