Bio
Hi, I’m Alix! I am a NYC certified teacher. I currently hold certifications in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6). I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Psychology and a dual minor in Philosophy and Sociology. Upon graduating, I began working for MAB Community services in Boston. I worked to support teens with traumatic brain injuries and related disorders, focusing on activities of daily living. I later moved to NYC where I received my Master’s in Education and Special Education from Touro College. I worked as a teacher at a non-profit school for children on the Autism Spectrum for 5 years. I now work at a public school in Manhattan teaching 3rd grade in an ICT classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, drawing, and visiting my family in the Berkshires.
