I am a certified high school Social Studies and ESL teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience. My students describe me year after year as patient, caring, and encouraging. I prioritize a learner-centered approach to meet each child where they are both academically and developmentally, then build their confidence to help them reach the next step. My experience includes supporting students who have had interrupted or limited formal education, school avoidance or anxiety, and helping students practice or become bi-literate or multi-literate. I also help students explore colleges and careers and work with them to plan for their futures. I look forward to meeting and working with new students!
