Bio
I'm Angela! I love reading (especially memoirs, historical fiction, & dystopian novels), knitting and sewing, and a good joke! I've taught in a variety of settings since I moved to NYC from Vermont in 2012. I specialize in one-to-one and small group literacy and math instruction for elementary-aged students.
My favorite thing to teach is reading! My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know my students and finding ways for them to have fun while learning!
I'm a certified special ed. teacher and have experience teaching students with a range of special needs. I have been a tutor for about 3 years. I taught for 4 years in a dual language setting (Spanish/English). I am on my way to earning a certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Langages).
Currently, I am only able to tutor remotely (online).
Hablo español.
