I have been a Reading Specialist/Interventionist for more than a decade. I have worked in both the private and public sectors with diverse populations. I have experience teaching from kindergarten-young adulthood. My expertise has led me to many roles. ESL teacher, Special Education Teacher, and At-Risk Educator. My most current professional achievements have been been becoming certified as a dyslexia instructor, and finishing my coursework toward my Ph.D. in language and literacy. My current job has me working for a nonprofit to close the literacy gap between children in poverty and those from higher socio-economic settings.
