My name is Audrey Eisenberg and I am the Instructional Coach and Learning Specialist at the Parkside School, a small non-public elementary school for students with speech/language impairments, where I have worked for the past 8 years. I received my masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education at Bank Street College and received an advanced degree in School Building Leadership at Manhattan College. I am professionally NYS certified in early childhood and childhood general and special education. I have a passion for building relationships with the students I work with in order to access their strengths and design specific and supportive interventions to enhance their academic potential. I use a hands on and high engagement approach to my teaching and hold my students to high expectations both academically and behaviorally. I love seeing my students overcome obstacles and find great satisfaction in celebrating their wins alongside of them. I have an extensive academic training and tons of experience with using supplemental instruction to close learning gaps. I have effective strategies for students with a wide range of language and learning variations. Additionally, I believe in a team based approach to academic achievement and work hard to collaborate with parents, related service providers and school professionals to keep everyone informed and working together.
