Hi! I'm Aviva; a passionate teacher who is the proud holder of a New York State teaching license and California Teaching Credential for K-6th grade. I have a Masters in Childhood Education from Hunter College, and worked as a lead teacher for five years in grades 1-3 before becoming a stay at home mom and private tutor. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic it became clear to me that there was a need for additional academic support services and I was not going to let the lack of a physical classroom space interfere with my students academic growth and success. I began tutoring students as young as second grade and up through seventh grade over Zoom, determined to provide the most engaging, interactive, tech-friendly, “classroom”-like environment possible. I've also spent over seven years tutoring in-person, for children as young as kindergarten up to 7th grade! I absolutely love helping students to problem solve and identify strategies that will help them to be successful in any subject.
