I grew up in Roanoke, VA, and graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Natural Resource Conservation and Recreation Management. After moving to Fayetteville, WV, for climbing and outdoor recreation, I realized that I wanted to pursue Montessori education. I graduated from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies with an IMC Montessori Certification for teaching children ages 6-12. I have been the lead elementary guide for ages 6-9 and 9-12 for 8 years, 2 of those years have been completely virtual with Guidepost Montessori School. I love working with children and seeing them find their passions. Some of my hobbies include paddle boarding, knitting, gardening and photography. I also work as an instructional guide, practicum advisor and field consultant for the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.
