Bio
Hi my name is Calais and I have worked with elementary students in general education and students with disabilities grades Kindergarten to sixth grade. I enjoy helping students engage and learn in fun and creative ways. I love seeing my students learn and grow and reach their fullest potential. I have taught in the subject area of Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. I have experience with the New York State elementary school curriculum and standards for all of the subject areas listed. I have experience working with Students with Disabilities and writing and implementing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and their IEP goals. I believe that every child is unique and learns in their own way and it is my job to find out how to make learning fun, interesting, engaging and successful for each individual student.
