Bio
I am an experienced and innovative homeroom teacher with a passion for fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom community that embraces individual differences. Over the past 30 years in the Pennsbury School District, I have had the privilege of teaching fourth and fifth grades, as well as providing Gifted Support. My work focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive curricula that cater to the unique learning and developmental needs of all students, including both typical and neurodivergent learners.
I pride myself on creating safe, positive learning environments that promote academic achievement, emotional well-being, and positive social interactions. By assessing student abilities and setting personalized goals, I ensure that every child has the support they need to thrive. I also coordinate Gifted Individualized Educational Plan meetings, bringing together teams and families to foster student success.
In addition to my teaching expertise, I have embraced technology as a vital tool in the classroom, offering digital learning options and assistive technologies to enhance engagement. My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University.
I hold various certifications, including being a Microsoft Educator and a Flipgrid Certified Educator, among others. These qualifications reflect my commitment to continuous professional growth and my dedication to nurturing the potential of every student I teach.
