Hello, my name is Chelsey Binz and I am extremely passionate about my role as an educator. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and then a Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University Long Beach. I have been working in Education for almost 20 years and have experience working with Children between the ages of 7 and 18 years old. I have recently earned my TEFL certification and have had the opportunity to tutor adults in an online setting. My dedication to teaching runs deep and I truly believe that with the right tools, we as educators have the ability to make a significant difference in the lives of the students we teach. I have had many opportunities to teach in person, online as well as hybrid settings and have strong skills in creating and adjusting effective lesson plans accordingly. I incorporate several online educational platforms including google slides, padlet, kahoot, and edpuzzel in all of my lessons. I create inclusive and engaging classroom environments where students are motivated to participate and learn by incorporating student interests and topics they can relate to. My passion for teaching runs deep and I look forward to any opportunity that allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of the students I have a chance to work with.
