I have 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring almost every subject and grade level from middle school classes to AP calculus, chemistry, physics, biology, English literature, and all sections of the SAT/ACT and MCAT exams. I use this knowledge and insight to provide an adaptive, personalized approach for each student, consistently producing phenomenal results as measured by improvements in exam scores as well as parent and teacher satisfaction. As a passionate educator, I have persistently sought to improve pedagogical approaches based on identification of common points of confusion and error as well as alternate strategies for explaining concepts and solving a particular type of problem. Every student I encounter presents a unique opportunity to provide an engaging learning experience that will leave him/her with a far better impression of the subject than they started out with, demystifying a subject such as math, science or English literature for students who are intimidated by it and deepening the appreciation of those who love it. I never move on without confirming the student’s mastery of a concept and am acutely aware of the specific areas in which gaps are most likely to accumulate after classroom instruction. Finally, I have a fun and engaging style that will prevent boredom from hindering a student’s learning. I have worked for many private tutoring companies. I was a math and science teacher at a private school called score at the top, where I taught and designed AP courses and designed the corresponding syllabi. I also worked there as an SAT/ACT test prep instructor and high school subject tutor. I have worked for companies such as Princeton Review, Slyvan, and C2 learning, at which I continually developed and honed my skills as an educator.
