Bio
I am a creative, passionate, and humorous educator from Maine. I have 16 years of experience teaching students in grades K-8. While rapport and making connections are my specialties, I also know that creativity, consistency, and genuine caring make a huge difference and allow me to meet my students “where they are”. An effective educator has to personalize every lesson, and first close the gaps that are preventing the child from moving forward. Celebrating small successes frequently builds confidence and encourages self advocacy. As Reba McEntire once said, “In life you need 3 things: a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone.”
