Bio
Hello! My name is Hallie! I am living on the West Coast. I am an educator with 10 years teaching experience. I love getting to know students and how they learn to help foster their own intrinsic motivation.
I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education from Temple University in Philadelphia and my Masters degree in Literacy studies as a Reading Specialist and Teaching English as a Second Language from Arcadia University in Philadelphia.
My goal as a teacher/tutor is to develop student’s skills, independence and confidence and to shift the narrative around seeing getting extra help as a negative. My experience includes, but is not limited to, working with students with: ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Gifted and Talented, processing disorders, executive function, social and emotional needs, and behavioral disorders.
I have additional experience as an after school tutor, homeschool teacher and Special Education Advocate. Currently, I am working with students of varying abilities and ages who are struggling to keep up in reading, writing or math with the hybrid demands and lack of school the past year. I’m competent in working on all subjects K-6 and reading and writing K-12. As I am currently on the West Coast, I am open to virtual and in person sessions. I look forward to meeting you!

Reviews
She is very attentive and spends time getting to know and understand your child. She is patient and kind and very engaging. My child really enjoys working with Hallie!
Hallie has been working with my ADHD and dysgraphia son for about 3 weeks and we are already seeing progress. Our son has a strong personality and she handles him very well. Hallie reviews with me what they've done during their lesson and what she recommends for him to do until their next session. We are very satisfied with Hallie and what she's done for my son and his writing.
