I am a passionate educator with 7+ years of experience as a special education teacher, with a proven track record of successfully differentiating instruction for a diverse set of learners. I also have 3+ years managing school teams, coaching special education teachers and delivering successful professional development. Throughout my experiences as a teacher and leader, I developed a strong interest in children’s literature, read-alouds, and teaching early literacy skills (I LOVE phonics). I believe in the value and necessity of exposing children to quality literature from an early age. I am eager to continue to provide this exposure and contribute to student’s development in reading and other academic domains. It is my priority to identify and take advantage of students’ aptitudes, and find efficient ways to accommodate and remediate their difficulties.
