Hello! I am a full-time teacher with eight years of experience in the classroom. Additionally, I have worked as a tutor, program director, and executive function coach. Over the years, I have worked with students in grades 4-12, and I currently teach middle school humanities at The Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn. Previously, I taught middle school ELA (reading and writing) at KIPP. As a tutor, I work with students who want to push their literacy skills (both analytical reading and writing) to a more advanced level, as well as with students who want to firm up their organizational and executive function skills. I believe in empowering students to take ownership over their own learning. When I work with students, I am a one-on-one coach, cheerleader, and accountability buddy. On a more personal level, I am a Columbia University and Trinity School alum, an NYC-native, travel aficionado, and a total bookworm. I hold a B.A in Sociology from Columbia University and an M.A. in education from Relay GSE. I love getting to know students and supporting them to feel confident and successful as readers and writers!
