Hello, My name is Jaleesa. I am a general and special education teacher from the Bronx, New York. I've worked as an inclusive special educator for the last 10 years at the NYC Department of Education in a middle school setting, with 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I working task analyzing and dividing components of a larger projects into smaller, more manageable portions for students. I find this helps alleviate stress and helps students with disabilities create the most high quality projects. During the COVID pandemic I taught for 1.5 year exclusively online. During this time I learned to make virtual learning fun, effective and engaging.
