I am an experienced teacher and tutor and have worked with students aged 4 to adult, assisting mostly with reading, writing, college essays, homework, study and organizational skills, the reading and language sections of the SAT and ACT. I believe that learning should be fun, meaningful, interactive and as relevant to everyday life as possible. With a M.A. in Communication, a B.A. in Business Education and a California Community College Instructor Credential in Communication, I am well qualified to be a good tutor. I appreciate the one-to-one opportunity tutoring provides to get to know a student and decide how we can best work together for the student to get what they need, both for increased skills and more confidence.
