I, Ms. JValencia Cross, have dedicated approximately 24 years to serving minority communities that face health disparities and have low-performing schools. Throughout my career, I have supported students, administrators, parents, and teachers within the public school system, community settings, and religious organizations. My essential goals include closing achievement gaps for underserved populations and equipping all learners with a growth mindset. As a Texas Certified Educator, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of students and educators. Over the years, I have implemented teaching methods that effectively address the unique needs of ESL (English as a Second Language), ELL (English Language Learners), and students with learning disabilities. These approaches ensure that all students can succeed. I enjoy working with children and making learning fun. I have strong communication skills and am a self-motivated individual who loves to inspire students to believe in themselves. My educational philosophy is that all students can excel when stakeholders equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in a global society.
