My life has become devoted to helping children learn. I've been continually developing my skills and qualifications toward: creating safe learning environments, championing progress, and encouraging and facilitating the efforts of my students to overcome their challenges. I've accumulated extensive experience teaching literacy skills to a diverse population of students in a variety of contexts. I've taught English as a Foreign Language, reading and writing, to students in Sofia, Bulgaria; primary and secondary English in Utah; online private tutoring in creative writing and journalism; online English Language Arts and middle school writing; and primary school reading (classroom and online) using the Orton-Gillingham method. I'm especially skilled in working with struggling readers, English language learners, and children with literacy challenges such as dyslexia and dysgraphia.
