I am currently a 5th grade teacher but have also taught 2nd grade and was a special educator at the elementary level for the first 18 years of my career. I am certified in special education and elementary education. I am also National Board Certified in Middle Childhood Literacy. I taught virtually during covid with my entire class on line and then for a period of time when some of my class was in person and the rest were virtual. The past year and a half I was a virtual tutor after school through my school system. I worked online with students to support the instruction currently happening in their classroom and to address specific areas in which the student was struggling. This is my 31 year as an educator - I love getting to know my students, helping them meet with success, and finding creative ways to keep instruction engaging and fun.
