Bio
Hello! After earning a Master’s degree in Education from UNC Chapel Hill, I worked in various capacities as an educator for over 25 years. I taught in the classroom and served as a reading specialist, literacy coach, ESL teacher, and librarian. I have experience working with students who have IEPs and 504 plans. I also completed my Orton-Gillingham (OG) Associate training through a program accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators and the International Dyslexia Association.
The best part about teaching is helping my students make connections in their learning, in fun and engaging ways, as well as working alongside them as their self-confidence in their academic abilities and their motivation to learn grows.
