I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1993 with a BS in Secondary Education and a BA in Biology. I earned my M.ed in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006. I am certified to teach biology, physical science, general science, and middle school science. Between graduating in 1993 and 2006 I attended Harrisburg Community College's paramedic program and became a paramedic. I worked full-time for Lewistown Hospital and Port Royal EMS until 2005 when I decided to return to the classroom. I continued to work part-time as a paramedic until 2020. I am a science geek at heart. I have two grown children and live on a farm in Juniata County. I have been teaching in the Juniata County School District for 18 years. ​I like to think I bring a wide range of experience to the classroom. My time working in a hospital and as an emergency first responder allows me to make real-world connections for my students.
