Bio
Julia has graduate-level expertise and teaching experience in the areas of Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, and Computer Coding. A published author, she worked for several years as a professional editor of scientific journal articles.
She has deep experience teaching English/Literature and Math to middle-school, undergraduate, and graduate-level students. She has provided weekly after-school teaching (7th Grade) in NYC for 6 years. In the areas of child development and growth, she served as a YMCA camp counselor for 4 years (for ages 5-12y), a YMCA aquatics instructor for 4 years (for ages 3-12y), and child-care provider (ages newborn-12y) for 30+ years.
Julia holds a Doctorate in Bioengineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and Master and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Notre Dame. She served as an NIH Cell and Tissue Engineering Fellow and continues to serve as an industry liaison.
