Hi, my name is Kara Stark! I am currently teaching in the Bronx, NY at P.S 279. I teach in a 5th grade ICT classroom. I have been teaching at my current school for six years. In my first year, I taught 5th grade as the General Education teacher, only teaching ELA. For the last five years, I have been in a 5th grade ICT setting as the General Education teacher. I am Elementary Education (1-6) certified and Literacy Education (K-6) certified. I love my job because teaching isn't just about helping students grow academically. I love that my job allows me to teach lessons on friendship, respect, and hard work that can be applied to their everyday lives. I love knowing that every day is a chance to make a difference and I love watching my students develop throughout the year.
