Bio
Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, I attended Brown University for undergraduate and earned a master's degree in special education through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. I've been a teacher for 22 years in a wide variety of roles and educational approaches, including a Reggio-Emilia-inspired pre-K program in a private girls' school, lead-teaching in a public Brooklyn self-contained special education middle school program, and 16 years in many capacities in a Brooklyn K-8 charter school. I live with my husband and two young children in Prospect Heights and across all parts of my life, personal and professional, I enjoy learning and connecting with others in purposeful, curious, collaborative problem-solving.
