Katherine Taylor is a Philadelphia-based tutor working with students of all ages and abilities on writing and speaking skills. She has a graduate degree in environmental writing and a professional background in environmental education and community development. She has been tutoring since 2015, helping students understand grammar, expand their vocabulary, outline their thoughts, and use more vivid detail. Katherine has worked with many high needs students, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, speech disabilities and autism. Katherine's teaching style is rooted in her work as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa, where she found that developing her communication skills and finding common ground were more important than accomplishing anything tangible. In her spare time, Katherine likes to read, see friends, explore the city and escape it.
