My name is Kim Mitchell, and I am an educator currently living in St. Louis, Missouri. I have a Missouri teaching certificate, and I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education . With over 20 years of classroom experience and 8 years of tutoring students of all ages( both in-person and online), I can truly say I absolutely love my job of walking alongside young people in their academic journeys. My greatest desire is to encourage my students to believe in themselves, have a love for learning, strive for excellence, learn and apply content independently, and have some fun along the way. In addition, communicating content well by making lessons interesting, engaging, fun, and useful to everyday life is what fires me up. Furthermore, I am very committed to teaching diverse learners with different backgrounds and learning styles. Engaging my students in a way they feel confident and equipped is one of my greatest passions. In my free time , I enjoy hanging out with my husband, my 10 -year- old daughter, and our yellow lab, Boaz! We are avid Kansas City Chiefs fans, and we enjoy going on walks being outdoors as a family, and trying new restaurants.
