Personal information
Bio
I have been an elementary educator and tutor for over a decade. I currently teach as a head teacher at Columbia Grammar in New York City, and I love that my days are filled with helping children achieve their full potential as confident, capable, and compassionate citizens of the world. Prior to teaching, I grew up in the United States, Europe, and Asia, and I attended international schools in multiple countries. I am an avid traveler, and I love trying new things. I enjoy sharing my appreciation of multiculturalism, adventure, and environmentalism with my students! In addition to my Masters degrees in Elementary Education and as a Reading Specialist, I have Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Dance/Movement Studies. My background in these two fields allows me to infuse both brain-based, data-driven learning strategies and multi-sensory activities into my teaching practice to further strengthen students’ learning.
