I love teaching. I have been an educator for over 14 years in the Elementary sector. I have taught 3rd-5th grade Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I was a Science Coach for a year and then a couple of years later, I became a Reading Coach. My hobbies include exercising, reading a good book outside, and cooking. I love art. I don't want to be an artist or anything, but I do want to learn how to draw so, I'm taking art and painting classes to learn. Personally, education is a field where you can help young kids directly in a personal way; potentially changing their lives for the better. Teaching is more than just a job. Teaching is considered a noble profession. Students are disadvantaged in many ways, whether it’s because of a handicap, where they live, economic disadvantage or a language barrier they all deserve a fair and just education. What inspired me to become an educator is being able to set young people on the right education path. Helping children to have a good early experience and embracing the learning process can profoundly enhance someone’s life. As an educator, my job is to help unlock talents and remove any barriers to future success the child may face.
