Hello! I am a retired Education Specialist/Special Education teacher. I have a background in Speech Pathology and went on to get my Multiple Subject and Education Specialist credentials then completed my Master's in Education. I have worked in California and Australia with ages preschool to high school. My positions were mainly in the public school system but I also worked for some charter schools and a virtual academy. After deciding to retire from the public schools I became a private tutor specializing in reading, mainly implementing Orton-Gillingham based methodology. I love working with kids of all ages and unlocking their potential. Building rapport and seeing the spark in a student's eyes when a concept clicks inspires me to stay in education as long as possible!
