MS, Special and General Education Dual Degree
Margot Miranda is an experienced private tutor and learning specialist for students from a variety of ages and backgrounds. She has been working in the field of education for over 15 years.
Margot graduated with Honors from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and Spanish. She earned dual Master’s degrees in General and Special Education from Bank Street College. Margot taught with Teach For America (TFA) in New York City public schools for four years. She is currently in her 8th year serving as a TFA director and coach for new teachers.
As a classroom teacher and tutor, Margot has taught subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies in both special and general education programs in elementary, middle, and high school. Margot has taught in a variety of classroom settings including self-contained, team teaching, and SETSS (Special Education Teacher Support Services).
