My name is Mr. McCoy and yes, I am the "Real McCoy," which means the authentic and original me! I have taught seventh-grade English Language Arts/Reading at W.E. Greiner Middle School in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas since 2020. My first year teaching happened to be during the COVID-19 pandemic, so it was crash course in Zoom/online teaching. My experience includes seventh grade on-level, honors, emerging bilingual students, and Texas state-required (HB1416) intervention tutoring for grades 6 through 8. What I have enjoyed most about teaching seventh grade is the growth I have seen in my students throughout the academic year!
