👋 Hi my name is Megan and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 12+ years of teaching experience, I have taught Kindergarten through 6th grade learners in North Carolina, Florida, and across many states remotely. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in STEM disciplines, a Master of Education degree focusing on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and certifications in Reading and Educational Media for grades K-12. My teaching style is about making learning fun and ENGAGING for my students. Through the use of 🕺🏾interactive content, 🧩 gamification, 🌏 real-world connections, and 🤝 collaborative projects, I ensure that online learning is not only effective but also enjoyable. I love to mix up activities and tailor lessons to my student's interests and learning styles. And let's not forget the importance of positive feedback and recognizing achievements!🌟 Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, hiking, teaching my "parkour-puppy" new tricks, and pretty much anything that gets me exploring or ready for a next adventure. These interests influence my teaching style by encouraging students to take note of the beauty in the world around them and giving them the space and time to think in their own way. I believe that the key to effective online learning is setting clear goals, using engaging content, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and fostering interaction and support.
