Personal information
Bio
I have been teaching English Language Arts and English as a New Language for over 20 years, mostly in NYC public schools. In my volunteer work, I also teach immigrant and refugee adults and have taught internationally. I love connecting with students and helping students learn HOW they can learn best-- setting students up to become more independent learners. Becoming a stronger reader, writer, speaker and listener should feel empowering and fun and I love working with students to help them express themselves more clearly and more confidently. I host conversation classes for ESL students and also 1:1 sessions for students who would like more individual instruction. I also provide reading and writing instruction and support for English speaking students.
