Hello, my name is Mia Naaktgeboren. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Special Education at the University of Florida, building upon my Bachelor of Arts in General Studies of Education from Stetson University, where I graduated in 2023. I have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring. Most recently, I taught third grade at Idyllwilde Elementary in Sanford, FL, where I developed engaging lesson plans, utilized differentiated instructional strategies, and maintained a positive classroom environment. Additionally, I have worked as a student teaching intern and ESOL teacher assistant, roles in which I provided individualized support and fostered inclusive learning environments. I am also a certified teacher in the state of Florida. What I love most about teaching is the opportunity to inspire and support students in their learning journeys. I find great joy in creating engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs and seeing my students grow and succeed. Moreover, my background in the Florida Army National Guard as a Quartermaster Officer has honed my leadership skills, which I bring into my classroom to mentor and guide my students effectively.
