I am in my 21st year in education. I hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood education (P-5), a master's degree in reading education (P-12), and a specialist degree in educational leadership (P-12). I taught 1st and 3rd grade for 10 years. After leaving the classroom, I served as a reading mentor for the Governor's Office of Student Achievement for the state of Georgia, a K-5th grade instructional coach, an assistant principal, and most recently as a district level early literacy specialist for a school system in South Georgia. I currently serve as a consultant for an Edtech company providing trainings for school systems. Reading is my passion! I tutored over 15 clients weekly until COVID. I have enjoyed getting back into tutoring regularly. I am a firm believer in establishing quality relationships with my parents and students. I implement Science of Reading backed strategies in my teaching. My greatest joy is seeing the children that I tutor become confident readers.
