Personal information
Bio
Most recently I have worked as a literacy integrated tutor with Reading Partners, a children's literacy non profit in Manhattan. I taught primarily at PS 171 where I worked with children K-4th grade. Before joining Reading Partners I taught in a Head Start pre k classroom at Educational Alliance. The school has a creative and thoughtful curriculum that enables children to learn about themselves and the world around them and a true community among teachers who are supported and who enjoy collaborating and learning from each other. I have also loved bringing literature and writing inside the classroom and it has been a passion of mine for all my years of teaching. My early career was spent teaching at Ross Global academy and the Children's Storefront School.
I graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Elementary Education and did graduate work in Early Childhood Education at Hunter College. I have a 4 year old son, Oliver, and we live in west Chelsea.
