I worked at an independent school in New York City for 16 years before taking an extended maternity leave when my son was born. I worked with students of varying skill sets from those who needed remediation to those who needed enrichment. I believe that connecting mathematics to real-life situations goes a long way to making middle school math accessible to all students. An added specialty is preparing students to take the ISEE.
