Nimete, a 32-year-old teacher, recently graduated from Bronx Community College in Early Childhood Education and has been working there with students as a college assistant/tutor for more than 1 year. I hold a Bachelor's and a master’s degree in French Language and Literature from another university outside the USA. Working with children from different grades, starting with grade 4 to grade 12, I enjoy teaching and lesson planning very much. Also, working as a lead teacher in an early learning center allows me to better understand the needs of students and better serve them. I love kids not only because I have a daughter in this age group, but because I think it is the most important and amazing job a person can ever do. When I think about this age group, caring for them is more important than teaching them. Providing a safe, creative, and inclusive environment is of great importance. My philosophy of teaching is to welcome children from diverse backgrounds, treat them with respect, make them feel proud of their cultures, and celebrate their differences.
