Hello! I am Noel Cole, elementary teacher of 34 years, retired after school year 2021-2022. I began my career teaching kindergarten, which I absolutely LOVED! I have taught many HUNDREDS of students how to read and how to embrace and grow their own sense of numbers! My students' math scores were consistently among the highest in our county, which led to my becoming the MATH COACH in our elementary school. When COVID hit, it became necessary for me to become a general education, departmentalized teacher, teaching math to all the 4th graders in our school. I did this until I retired in June, 2022. For one year following my retirement, I worked as a private teacher, one-on-one with an autistic, non-verbal child. Summer of 2023, I began tutoring online for two different companies: Just Math (www.justmathva.com) and Tutored By Teachers (https://tutored.live/). I am still working for both of those companies, but would like more tutoring opportunities!! I can teach both ELA and MATH, although math is my favorite to teach! While I love the flexibility and convenience of tutoring online, I mostly love building relationships with my students so that learning difficult material can be fun and engaging.
