Bio
One of my best friends from middle school and high school has often said she couldn't have passed our math classes without me. I'm sure she could have, but even way back then I loved helping others learn. I went on to earn a bachelor's degree in elementary education and spent six years working in the public school system as both a first-grade teacher and an elementary school teacher's assistant. Addditionally, I homeschooled my own kids for 8 1/2 years, including working with them through middle school and high school.
I believe that the best way to help a student learn is to consider the whole child and to offer a balance of encouragement and challenge. I love hiking, writing, and drinking coffee! I would be honored to be a part of your child's educational journey.
