Bio
Hi! My name is Sandra and I am 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade teacher for students with language-based learning disabilities in NYC. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education/Special Education from the University of Delaware and a Masters from Bank Street in Teaching Literacy. In addition to being a full time teacher, I have tutored many students over the years in grades 1-4. I am trained in the reading program, Preventing Academic Failure, and Marilyn Zecher's multi-sensory approach to teaching math. I value forming relationships with my students in order to know who they are as "whole children" in order to best teach and support them. Teaching is my passion and I firmly believe that every child has the potential to succeed.

Reviews
Sandra has been wonderful with my daughter. I have seen an improvement in my daughter's reading and writing. More importantly, I have seen a huge increase in her enthusiasm to practice and develop her skills.
