As a passionate special educator with two years of experience within the Baltimore City Schools system, I have cultivated instructional approaches designed to resonate with diverse groups of students with various exceptionalities, abilities, and needs. My opportunities as a self-contained special education teacher have armed me with vital skills in crafting hands-on, inclusive lessons that stimulate critical thinking and encourage a safe environment for growth. I have experience teaching students grades 1-5 in ELA, reading intervention, Math, math intervention, social studies, science, and social-emotional learning. My deep commitment to fostering a love of learning for all students has led me to be nominated for the Baltimore City Schools’ 2024 Teacher of the Year Award.
