I hold a degree in Elementary and Special Education along with 3 certifications. I am a certified elementary teacher with 9 years of teaching experience including domestic, international, and IB teaching experience, specifically to English Language Learners. Furthermore, I have almost 3 years of experience tutoring students virtually and have gained lots of expertise and effective technological tools to ensure efficient virtual instruction.

Employment history

I currently work as a virtual tutor teaching elementary and middle school students from all over the US reading, writing, and math skills. Most students are taught while at school, while others are taught after school hours, from home. I teach the iReady curriculum, but also create my own lessons using a variety of resources. The lessons are interactive with the students on the whiteboard alongside me, allowing them to participate in activities and complete work independently.

This school is an accredited IB international school that promotes inquiry-based learning through the transdisciplinary integration of concepts across subject areas. I taught the PYP curriculum for 3 years, growing in my expertise of concept-driven teaching and learning. All my students were second language learners and most started the school year below grade level. I was able to help 90% of my students each year to increase their reading levels and math skills, and thus have an extensive experience in teaching below average students and helping them meet or exceed grade level standards by the end of the school year.
