Hello! I am an 18-year veteran in the classroom. I began my career teaching 6th grade ELA, then taught a year of 4th grade math and science before transitioning to 5th grade teaching all subjects. When my family moved, I took a job teaching 6th grade ELA again and most recently moved to teaching 8th grade social studies. I am certified in Elementary Education, Middle Level ELA and Middle Level Social Studies. I also have specialty gifted and talented experience and reading intervention training. My passion has always been reading and writing. When I was younger, I always wanted to be a writer. Social Studies is my favorite subject to teach, but I also enjoy teaching writing. As a recent graduate student myself, I am versed in the APA format and academic writing.
