Hello, my name is Mrs. Pena! What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students and make learning a positive experience. I’m not just focused on academic success but also on building the student’s confidence and love for learning. My 14 years of experience have honed my ability to simplify complex ideas, making them easy to understand and enjoyable to learn. I have taught in grades pre-K to 12, from emotionally disturbed to physically impaired, and children on the autism spectrum for five years prior to teaching. My lessons are designed for elementary and junior high students. Whether they need help catching up or want to excel further, I provide the support and guidance they need to succeed. My goal is to make learning not just a necessity but a fun and rewarding journey!
What I love most about teaching online is the flexibility it offers in terms of connecting with students from diverse backgrounds, regardless of location. Teaching in an online environment allows me to use a wide range of digital tools to bring lessons to life, making learning more dynamic and interactive.
I also appreciate how online teaching fosters a style of one-on-one engagement. In a virtual classroom, I can provide personalized feedback and immediate support to each student. This direct interaction helps me build stronger connections with students, understanding their needs, strengths, and areas for improvement more intimately.
Additionally, I enjoy the challenge of making online learning just as engaging and fun as in-person lessons. It pushes me to think creatively and use innovative strategies to keep students excited about their education. From interactive quizzes to online learning games that reinforce curricula, every lesson can feel like a new adventure!
Most importantly, online teaching allows me to see the progress and growth of students firsthand, and it's incredibly rewarding to witness their confidence grow. The adaptability of the online format means I can tailor my teaching to each student, no matter their pace, and make sure they have the support they need to thrive.
This blend of creativity, connection, and impact is what makes teaching online so fulfilling for me!
